When: September 5-7
Where: Robin Hill Country Park, Isle of Wight
What: The Isle of Wight is fast becoming a haven for showcasing hot new music. The island's namesake festival has been a popular weapon of choice for music junkies on the south coast but now Bestival is biting at its tuneful crown. The three-day bash sold 30,000 tickets in record time this year - not surprising when it boasts the likes of Amy Winehouse and Does It Offend You, Yeah?. It's less commercial than its island rival so the pace during the day is more laid back and as it sits on the edge of the festival period it's a perfect way to see the summer off with a bang.
Tickets: £130 for adult weekend camping tickets (adult tickets are for anyone aged 16 or over on September 5 2008.) £65 for child weekend camping tickets (ages 13 - 15). Free tickets for anyone aged 12 and under. This festival has sold out.
Anyone aged 17 or under must be accompanied by a ticket holder who is 21 or over. One ticket holder aged 21 or over can accompany up to four people under 18.
