Guilfest

Guilfest Festival

When: July 4-6

Where: Stoke Park, Guildford

What: Guilfest is the goldilocks of the festival season (bear with us). It's not too big and it's not too small - it's got the right mix of music, comedy, theatre and exhibitions. Only half-an-hour from the capital, the Guildford music festival has come a long way since its modest beginnings when it was a single night of folk and blues music. It now offers an assorted group of artists on its five stages and with a 150-ft beer tent and cocktail bar there's enough alcohol to make even the bands you don't like more bearable.

Tickets: £40 per day for adults with £3 booking fee. £90 for the weekend without camping, plus £4.50 booking fee. £100 for the weekend with camping plus £5 booking fee. £30 for children between 12-16 years old plus £2.50 booking fee. £50 for the weekend without camping plus £3.25 booking fee, £60 for weekend with camping plus £3.50 booking fee. Children aged under-12 have free entry with a ticket holding adult.
