What:The biggest city-based music festival in Europe returns to Manchester the weekend of October 5-7 2008. It was founded in 1992 by Yvette Livesey and the late Anthony H Wilson and has become the date in the music industry calendar. By day, Manchester becomes home to the brightest and best in the business, as industry leaders debate the present and plot the future. And by night Manchester hosts ‘In The City Live’, as the bands and fans take to the streets. Its website claims to have also helped launch the careers of Oasis, Radiohead, Foo Fighters and many, many more so expect the stars of the future.

Tickets: Wristbands cost £26. The wristband gets you entry to all the ITC showcases, priority entry to all free ITC shows (ITC Unsigned, NME nights, BBC Introducing, Popjustice, Xfm), free iTunes card featuring the 45 ITC Unsigned artists, 10% off at Piccadilly Records during ITC,20% off food and drink at CUP, 10% off food at KRO Piccadilly and KRO 2 and 10% off food at Odd and Odder.
