When: June 13-15
Where: Seaclose Park, Newport, Isle of Wight
What: With Bestival chomping at their heels, the Isle of Wight Festival has pulled out the stops this year to try and stamp its authority back on all the music-loving island visitors. With Rock and Roll Hall of Famer's, Sex Pistols, as well as The Police both making reunion performances on the main stage and the Strawberry Fields campsite there's enough calibre to satisfy even the most nostalgia-hungry festival goers. But they've also introduced The Big Top to give the likes of Sugababes and New Young Pony Club an island festival run out too. Other favourites are back; the funfair, champagne bar and The Bandstand (a platform for local unsigned talent) and given that the festival sold out in days it's worth a look.
Tickets: £130 for weekend with camping or £110 for weekend without camping. For children aged 12 or under the weekend costs £65 with camping or £55 without.
