But band were too busy performing to notice
Black Kids have spoken about how they were caught up in Los Angeles' recent earthquake.
The quake, which measured 5.4 on the Richter Scale, struck the city on Tuesday (July 29) - just as the band were recording a session for Yahoo.
However, the group have revealed that initially they didn’t even notice the quake because they were concentrating so much on playing recent single 'I'm Not Gonna Teach Your Boyfriend How To Dance With You'.
"None of us, except Kevin (Snow, drummer), felt it," they explained. "I saw the photographer make a startled face, and thought, 'Lady, it's a good tune, but really'. I was embarrassed by my smugness when we were told that there was an earthquake."
Despite their aftershock, the band still decided that the "quake-take" of the track was the best, and included it on the session.
