Motley Crue also make a strong debut

Coldplay have topped the US Billboard chart for the second week in a row this week with their new album 'Viva La Vida Or Death and All His Friends'.

The band sold 249,000 copies of their fourth album in the US in the week ending June 29. Last month, Coldplay became the first British band to top the US singles chart in more than a decade with 'Viva La Vida'.

Meanwhile, Motley Crue debuted on the chart at Number Four with 'Saints Of Los Angeles'. It's the veteran rockers' first album with their original line-up in 11 years.

Lil Wayne's 'Tha Carter III' came in at Number Two, selling 209,000 copies, while the Disney Channel phenomenon the Jonas Brothers took the Number Three slot.

Three 6 Mafia rounded out the top five with 'Last 2 Walk'.
