Friendly Fires

Strobe

What an incredibly tasteful bunch of bastards Friendly Fires are. ‘Strobe’ is so incredibly lightly, subtly assembled that if it wasn’t for the holes mysteriously worn into our dancing shoes it’d be hard to tell if it actually existed at all. Like a cloud skating across a crystal keyboard, this technotropic indie collage of slide guitars and featherlight synths floats along like The Postal Service with a sense of decency. It’s ace… so let’s make a pact not to let hippies turn it into a ‘chill out’ anthem, OK? Ugh.
